The story behind

Good Rzn is a Los Angeles based music duo consisting of multi - instrumentalists Josie Molasky and Tommy Ghirardini. The band began releasing music in 2021 and their style is mix of electronic rock and psychedelic pop.

Led by glittering guitar licks and shiny vocal melodies, the two find balance between their different styles of writing. Built off of their unique individual skill sets, Good Rzn brings a new take on alternative music featuring elements from a broad spectrum of genres.

Josie

Josie Molasky is a singer, songwriter and multi- instrumentalist for Good Rzn. She grew up loving music in Las Vegas, Nevada. Josie began taking lessons for piano at age 5 and went on to learn the violin at age 8 then the guitar at age 10.

Singing and songwriting came naturally to her and became an outlet for self expression. Her mother and grandfather were both part of touring bands respectively in the 1950’s and 1980’s.

They showed her how impactful music could be in life. After writing her first song in elementary school, she became fascinated with the process and has felt called to capture moments in her life through song.

Tommy

Tommy Ghirardini is the producer, guitarist, and songwriter for Good Rzn. Originally from Atlanta, GA, Ghirardini began playing guitar at a young age and was initially inspired by alternative rock music from the 90s and 2000s.

Eventually, he began playing the upright bass in multiple jazz settings that included experience in both a big band and a quartet. While attending the University of Colorado, Ghirardini focused mainly on his production skills and developed a greater passion for electronic music and synthetic sounds.

In 2020, he paired with Josie Molasky under the name Orange Dream and began releasing music that combined all of the styles that he was familiar with. The duo ultimately became known as Good Rzn and began integrating guitar and organic instrumentation with electronic elements. With the group’s emphasis on guitar, Ghirardini usually plays the electric guitar during live sets.
